But it's all good fun too!

It's a serious business creating masterpieces - lots of concentration going on here.

Elsie doing some painting.

These are pictures from the end of the last film we got developed - I forgot to put them up before. Elsie and Rob enjoying some potato wedges

together!

Oh, and happy birthday to granny for today!

Cleaning and yoga simultaneously!

Hmm.. what shall I clean now??!

First things first, Elsie and Rob go on their cleaning up the garden mission!

Elsie was in a bit of a funny mood this evening, I think she might be teething again. She cheered up when we gave her some sausages though (our tea was obviously much nicer than hers) and was positively jolly by bath time.

I took mega loads of pictures with my phone on Saturday of our day frolicking in the garden, here we go...

What a beautiful day it was - this was just before we scooped Elsie up to go off to the pub and drink bank holiday shandy!

Going for a walk at the park last weekend - she's so grown up!

Could she be... the most beautiful girl in the world... de de dee...

She is supposed to be having her nap at the moment, but she is definitely not asleep up there. She seems quite happy though, just having a little sing.

This was last weekend in the garden, as you can see Elsie thinks things need a bit of a clean up out there - she's probably right.

Loving Elsie is easy cause she's beautifu - hu -hul... la la la la la... la la la la la... la la la la la ah la la la la la la... do do do do do dohu... aaaaaaaaaa!

Elsie getting lairy!

One of the rare occasions Elsie has worn a skirt! I don't know why we don't put her in them more really, this is her lovely one from Auntie Katie.

Another arty shot of Elsie in our room.

Elsie is giving proper kisses! It is the loveliest thing I have ever seen. She has been kissing Rob and I on our noses this morning and laughing, it is just so gorgeous! She is so clever, it is amazing to see her learning all these new things. She is doing duck noises, and she knows to do it when she’s looking at the ugly duckling book, and with her ducks in the bath, which are two very different duck things, but she still knows they make the same noise.

It is so funny too to see her little ways, some of which are like me (love of cheese, love of sleep!), some of which are like Rob (everything in its place, excessive cleaning (she tried to clean the ground in the garden with baby wipes yesterday!)) and some of which are just Elsie. She is definitely pushing the boundaries and being naughty sometimes, but you can see she’s just figuring the world out, and sometimes when we say no she even seems quite pleased, especially if it’s something we’ve said no to before, because the world makes sense.

More pictures from my phone, this is from a couple of weeks ago, check out the great light!

Dancing with her dad.

Despite being knackered she still managed to keep everyone entertained at dinner!

As you can see she wasn't at her best - all my fault for keeping her up raging the night before!

Elsie has just gone down for a long overdue afternoon nap – we were out at the park this afternoon and she was having a nice swing (which she is getting much more into these days it would seem) when Sarah called from the pub, so we grabbed Elsie out of the swing and hot footed it over there! She has been great though, playing her drum for everyone outside in the sunshine, lush! Shandy outside in the sunshine, that’s what the bank holiday is all about (not for Elsie of course, just juice).

Piccies from Katie’s wedding day now!

Saturday, April 07, 2007

This is very late on the Thursday night, after we had a gorgeous meal where Elsie was fantastic and really on form. With hindsight of course this is probably why she was in such a state the next day, but we did have a lush time that night. Here she is with Auntie Sally N, wanting to stay up and party some more!

And on the way back, actually maybe it was the other way round. Anyway Elsie was great in the rehersal, and walked down the aisle very well (just a shame she didn't do it for the real thing!)

I think this is on the way to the wedding rehersal.

Now we start on the piccies from Ripley - the day before the wedding!

I know I'm biased, but surely there is nothing lovelier than this little girl - oh how I love her.

My favourite person in my favourite place.

We are having a lovely pottery bank holiday – Elsie has just gone down for her morning nap and Auntie Sally has gone home (after babysitting last night – what a star!) so I thought I’d put a few more piccies up before I go out into the garden where Rob is chopping down ivy as we speak.

Elsie has been quite excited and chattery today, she is so funny. She just talks and talks and talks, and I really think she has no concept of the fact that we don’t understand everything she is saying – it is very sweet.

This is Elsie at Knowsley before Katie's wedding again - here we are with Poppy (who Elsie likes far more than Poppy likes Elsie!)

And one with the lovely Lorna. Here Elsie is wearing the lush top I bought for her in Edinburgh from Zara.

Another piccie from when Auntie Sally came round - this is lovely. And Rob is wearing his jumper that makes him look gorgeous!
