I’m feeling really knackered at the moment, and like life is a bit of a relentless treadmill. It’s quite hard sometimes to stay positive when I feel like I never get chance to stop and smell the roses. I try so hard to appreciate Elsie, she is growing up so fast and changing so much, and she’s so interesting and funny and sweet. I feel like our bond is as strong as ever, and to be honest I don’t feel any of this guilt that I know working mums are supposed to feel – she is happy and thriving and wonderful. But I just wish I could get some more sleep and have some spare time to get things done.
Every individual piece of my life is good, Elsie is great and Rob is incredible. But just taken as a whole it’s exhausting.
What can you do though?
Anyway… she is just lush at the moment. She is so funny when she’s reading a book and she just reads the words as ones that she knows – so your typical story will go ‘Oh dear, oh dear, mooooo, banana, yaaaaaay!’ It’s hilarious.

This is Elsie at Knowsley just before Katie’s wedding.

Hello! It appears to working again, touch wood!
Elsie is really well again after getting conjuctivitis and generally being poorly after Katie's wedding. It is my fault for keeping her up until half ten the night before - Rob will never let me have her without him again!
She didn't walk up the aisle in the end, but made up for it by singing beautifully in the service, doing a nice duet with the lady who sang Songbird and Ave Maria!
These are some pictures I took with my phone when we went for some minty tea (for me, Elsie just had water!) at the Moroccan at the end of the road.
