Elsie with Gemma - ladies in orange.

Some scary red eye on this one! But she looks so jolly I thought I'd share it.

Elsie is lovely at the moment. She is so cool, wandering round the kitchen all evening, picking things up, carrying them round and shouting and singing. I read in her book from nursery that they’d been singing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, so I started singing it, and she did the twinkly stars up in the star action! Then she started doing this weird arm movement that looked like an elephant’s trunk, and I couldn’t work it out for ages, and then I realised it was the spout of I’m a Little Teapot! So I sang that and she got very excited – it was ace!

I look at her and she is so clever and so sweet, and I think – she could be anything. What will she be? An astrophysicist? A ballerina? A road sweeper? A communications officer for a charity?! Who knows! It’s just amazing watching her grow up and turn into this gorgeous, brilliant, strong willed, funny little girl.

She looks a bit drunk on this one! I swear we didn’t give her any booze over Christmas!

Just realised I put those pictures on massive - this new system is all very confusing. Also, it's changed my name to Duncan which is very odd, even on the posts before the changeover - hmmmm... It's cause we did a blog for our trip to Paris too from the same account which dad has added to, but why have they changed my name too. Don't worry everyone - grandad hasn't taken over Elsie's blog, it's still me! Hopefully I'll figure out how to change it back.
Speaking of the devil, isn't this picture ace, I love it so much!

This one's pretty weird!

I'm having terrible trouble with this new blogging system - I'm getting worried that the whole thing is just going to disappear one day and all these incredible memories will be gone. I should back it all up somewhere really.

Anyway... Elsie is very well at the moment, she is growing up so much and is so funny. She smiles her big wide toothy grins a lot, and is starting to realise the effect they have on people - I think she's becoming aware that people become enchanted with her when she does it! Conversely, she is also starting to have mini tantrums when she doesn't get her own way, which are very tricky to deal with. We've decided to just ignore them as much as possible and hopefully she'll get the idea it's a waste of time. I think she is turning out pretty strong willed - can't imagine where she might get that from!
More piccies from Xmas time at Knowsley.

I think we're row row rowing the boat here!

Having a cuddle (kind of!) with granny.

We have got some lovely pictures back from granny and grandad from around Christmas at Knowlsey. Elsie looks sooo pretty!

Well, I had another weeekend away last weekend, up in Edinburgh for Katie's hen weekend. Elsie had a night with gran and grandad down in Exeter on Saturday night which went well, but she was a bit perculiar afterwards. I think she's back to normal now though. Granny is here for a couple of days as she drove back down to Bristol, and the three of us have just had a lovely trip up to the mall (not always a contradiction in terms it would seem!) Elsie did lots of walking around and was generally very jolly and delightful. We also bought the last bits to make up Elsie's bridesmaid's outfit for Katie's wedding in just three weeks - woooo!!

Some seriously walking action going on at the weekend.

With much hilarity ensuing!

Another horse riding session a week or so ago.

Elsie was dead funny this evening. Her walking is really good now, and she was wandering round the kitchen, pushing chairs round the room, shouting and having a great time.

She got really tired then though, and wasn't happy at all. Bath time was a bit of a trauma cause she's got nappy rash at the moment and she just wanted to scratch herself. Combined with her tiredness this just made her really fed up. But she's sleeping soundly now.

Not a great picture, but I don't know if we've got any others of Elsie in her lovely birthday dress from granny.

I just realised that yesterday it was a year since I started this blog - wow! Doesn't time fly.

Let's celebrate with this amusing picture of Elsie with Uncle Jez!

This was in Leigh Woods, where we went for a lovely walk and Elsie had some kip.

Tee hee! An amusing picture of Elsie driving the car!

More piccies of when Auntie Katie and Uncle Jez were here, this is still at lunch in the Boston Tea Party - there were some of the cast of Casualty sitting behid Elsie here!
