Goodness me, I haven’t blogged for ages! Life has been even more hectic than usual. The good news is that everyone seems much better – Rob is still sniffling a but Elsie seems totally recovered and back to her glorious, jolly self once again.
Elsie and I just had a lovely weekend with Lorna in Bunbury – it was so nice, all except for the absolutely horrendous train ride home which left me in tears. I could not describe how I feel about the people on that train without swearing quite badly, which I won’t do as my grandparents read this blog!! (Although I expect they’d understand!) I had reserved a seat, and I struggled to it with my three bags and Elsie, only to find someone sitting in it (in a full carriage). Because there wasn’t a bit of paper they didn’t believe me and refused to move. Nobody helped me with my stuff despite the fact I was clearly struggling – and all just sat there while I tried to explain with equanimity that I had reserved the seat, and maybe it wasn’t the nicest thing in the world to make a lady with a baby travel standing up.
Then eventually a nice lady offered me her seat and because the situation was so horrible and someone was finally being nice to me I very humiliatingly started to cry. But we got ourselves sorted – and Elsie was having very vocal day, she wasn’t crying or screaming, but just shouting in an excited manner quite a lot, and I got disgruntled comments from several people.
So anyway, it was hideous, and I hope all of the people on that train (except the one nice lady) found half a worm in their half eaten sandwich today.
Here is a lovely picture of Elsie – this is when we went out for a meal in Sicily.
