Elsie Mary

It is Rob’s birthday today so we have all had a day off to spend a lovely family day together. It has been utterly gorgeous, except I now feel a bit poorly – I had dall for my lunch and it always seems to disagree with me, which is unfortunate because I love it. Anyway, Elsie seems to have enjoyed a day in the bosom of her family – we went out shopping to Park Street and she was scrutinising everyone that we saw out and about – she is so full of curiosity for the world around her.

She was very thoughtful and bought her dad March of the Penguins on DVD and three records – Public Enemy, Donny Hathaway and Fred Wesley and the Horny Horns (!) – for his birthday, which he very much appreciated! She also made him a lovely hand print card at nursery, which is very sweet.

She is having a little nap at the moment, before bath and supper – then Paula and Tom are coming to babysit so Rob and I can go out to the cinema to see The Departed for his birthday treat, hoorah!

This is Rob and Elsie at K&H’s wedding.
